Jim is a retiree who has a love for sports.  He is an avid golfer, and has also enjoyed playing basketball and softball.  He began playing pickleball a few years ago and immediately fell in love with the sport.  He is a member of the Monmouth Pickleball Club and began teaching the sport in 2018, after receiving his instructor certification through the Professional Pickleball Registry. Jim trains, not only those new to pickleball, but also players who are ready to take their game to the next level.

Many players know Jim through the Ft Monmouth Rec Program, where he has been assisting Kim Smith with the boot camps run by Monmouth County Parks and Recreation. He is also currently assisting Eatontown and Middletown Recreation in establishing their training programs.  Although Jim prefers to train small, hands-on groups of 4 to 8 players, and has all the equipment to set his own courts to do just that, he also enjoys working with large groups. He will travel to your local court for your convenience.

If you are interested in learning how to play pickleball or are ready to go to your next level of play, you can contact Jim Moran via cell (908 902-9822) or email at

Instructor for Beginner Pickleball Players

With over three decades of experience in the health and fitness industry, Jannetje added Pickleball to her repertoire 2 years ago.  Jannetje has been leading group exercise classes of various levels and intensities and training clients for over 30 years.

Jannetje understands how difficult and uncomfortable it can be to break into a new sport.  For this reason she starts at the ground floor with a new Pickleball player and introduces them to the sport from the most basic level.  From a player new to paddle sports to a seasoned tennis or paddleball player, Jannetje makes each client comfortable through the learning process, and makes each session fun!

Jannetje has been playing Pickleball for two years, has played in several tournaments and plays in an Indoor Winter Ladies League.  She is a certified Pickleball Coach through Professional Pickleball Registry.  Contact her at
